So the girls have finally thawed from a very cold winter and spring! (click picture to enlarge and see Yoshii in her bark chip catching glory!)

Snow!

Even though it turned to ice and slush, at least the girls got in some good snowtime!

Christmas Time with Kara and Yoshii

Yoshii Walks the Line

Yoshii has decided that walking on sidewalks is so passé. She now likes to walk on the tightrope..err..curb...maybe she can try out for Cirque du Soliel soon?

The girls did not seem to enjoy Halloween as much as we did...must suck for them!






Kara refused to lay down while she was wearing her T-shirt, so this is how she decided to rest.

Getting Ready for Winter

So after hearing about how road salt can irritate dry cracked paws in winter, we decided to hook the girls up with some dog booties (Muttluks :-) As you can see, it did not go over too well with Kara...


She just kept this foot raised in the air and refused to move :-D

Vacation Pics - Yoshii and Kara's Adventure with Horses and Ducks

When we take a vacation, the girls take a vacation. No more small yard and doggie doors for them! They got back to their shiba-roots and chased ducks and horses (well looked at horses...they posed a much bigger threat then the smaller more helpless ducks).

They have been nearly trampled by these mini horses before, so now they just stand outside the fence.

Lesson learned.

Yoshii and Kara's surrogate mommy was kind enough to outfit them in some very cute summer wear...can't you see the joy on their little faces?

The Girls Don't Like Their Travel Beds

They tolerated the 15 hour car ride to Florida, but decided to take out their anger on the cheap travel beds...

So Lil' Miss Smarty-Pants Kara has gone and learned a new trick. Whenever we tell her to 'look, look, look' she races for the window in hopes of seeing a dog out there. As you can see on the video, if there is no dog out there, she looks at you as though she is saying 'Why did you lie to me?'

Sometimes Yoshii gets in on the deal too, but I think she is just being a follower.

The Girls do NOT do Treadmills!

So one of the reasons to get the treadmill (other than for the humans in the house to use it) was for Yoshii and Kara (mostly Yoshii) to get a little more exercise. I don't think that will be happening...

Keep in mind it is still February and feels like it is 30 degrees outside and Yoshii decides to start shedding.

Kara has learned to let us know if she wants cookies. Yoshii, the strong silent type, just tries to annoy Kara.
