Getting Ready for Winter

So after hearing about how road salt can irritate dry cracked paws in winter, we decided to hook the girls up with some dog booties (Muttluks :-) As you can see, it did not go over too well with Kara...

She just kept this foot raised in the air and refused to move :-D

Notice Yoshii in the background. She was just lucky they didn't fit her.

That's so funny! It's always that same front paw.

Is this really true? I don't see too many dogs with boots on. But we'll be conscious of it.

We have not had too many issues ourselves, but we did notice last year, after our walks they would be very intensively cleaning their paws to the point they would get cracked. We would keep moisturizing their feet, and that seemed to make them happy.

They now enjoy the taste of vaseline lotion :-)

i don't think i'd like to wear boots. my paw does get sore and cracked sometimes but i hate it when my people even touch my feet, so i really don't think i could let them put booties on...

Heyy, you're sporting the booties like those sled dogs up in Alaska! Are you training to be one? If so, can I have your paw-ograph?
